What makes Dr. D’s Nutritional Wellness Program different compared to other wellness programs available on island?
Dr. D is the first Chiropractor to ever hold 2 different medical licenses on Guam with the Allied Health Board. He holds a license in both Chiropractic & Nutrition and gives a great perspective on these two disciplines and how they can impact natural health care and keep the body healthy for a lifetime.
Also, Dr. D’s diverse patient background and knowing how to treat different types of patient populations and conditions based on their specific goals is something very rare on guam. What does the Dr. D’s Customized Medical Nutrition Wellness program/treatment include?
Doctor/Certified Nutrition Specialist Supervision and follow up visits. The Program includes multiple clinical tests done initially in the clinic. Additional blood work are also required to start the program and these are usually done at dls. These labs are not included in the program costs and must be paid to the lab directly.
After all testing and labs are complete, Dr. D and his team create your customized treatment plan based on your goals and what he feels is the best approach to it based on your past health history, blood work, clinical tests, and bodyfat. Then depending on what program you have picked, 5-7 one on one doctor follow up visits are completed to monitor your progress and to make any program adjustments based your follow up progress and your goals.
The one on one doctor follow ups are very important bc every individual experience is truly different. Depending on what type of lifestyle and health one is coming from prior to entering the program, he or she will have their own personal journey that will not be ide typical to another. Also, the
follow up doctor visits answers all your questions by the doctor and his staff. This helps you form habits, and keeps you accountable as you make your transformation.

Why did you join the program and what were your expectations coming in?
I joined because after years of trying to diet on my own I would lose weight, but then gain it back shortly after. It was like a hit and miss. After consulting with my wife we both decided to join the program together and support each other throughout the program. I didn’t know what to expect, but I knew I had to remain focused and discipline throughout the program.
What was the hardest part of the program?
The hardest part of the program was making the choice to go in and complete the program. The second hardest part was the extra time i had to put aside for meal prepping and staying away from functions/parties at least for the 1st 3-4 weeks.
What was the easiest part of the program?
The easiest part was not worried about being hungry and what was my next meal it was all thought out and planned in advanced. I would observe my co-workers complaining about being hungry and just eating whatever was convenient and quick. Most of the time their choices were fast food with no real nutrition content.
What did you learn during the program about yourself and what are your future goals now that you have successfully completed the program with great results?
I learned a lot about nutrition and what works for my body. I’ve been able to lose approximately 55 pounds from 240 to 185 on the program. I’ve been able to maintain my weight between 182-190 for over a year now. My goal is to keep eating healthy and to also indulge on occasions every now and then. This makes the program sustainable with my lifestyle.
What would you recommend to others who have been thinking about improving their health but may be intimidated or unsure if they can benefit from doing Dr D Nutritional Wellness Program?
I have been and continue to recommend Dr. D’s program to my family and friends. Many have had great results. One in particular also lost over 50 pounds. It’s been a life changing experience. Why did you join the program and what were your expectations coming in?
Due to poor stamina being out breath when walking short distance and over all negative effect on my health at 50 years of age. It was last resort due to witnessing a coworker transformation from heavy to a physically fit person. I said what the heck give a shot it may work
What was the hardest part of the program?
Getting used to eating wholesome foods as opposed to previous processed foods and sugary food and drinks. Totally eliminated all fast foods items.
What was the easiest part of the program?
Staying on course. Food plan was on point. i never was hungry and energy level was great. This a unique experience you had to consume all the food allotted for day to ensure to get the maximum benefit of the plan. I was so full at times I would call Summer to see if the meal plan is correct. Or my measurement was off. She reassured me it was correct. I followed her recommendation and weight starting dropping off for me. First diet plan that worked for me. Visit after visit the weight kept dropping.
What did you learn during the program about yourself and what are your future goals now that you have successfully completed the program with great results?
I was not believer having gone to so many diet programs previously, Just need to find a doctor who specializes in nutrition such as Doctor Dimalanta who will get the right information to you guide you through it.
What would you recommend to others who have been thinking about improving their health but may be intimidated or unsure if they can benefit from doing Dr D Nutritional Wellness Program?
Stop thinking about it, take action. You need to consider the implication on your health and over all longevity. If you came to same conclusion as i did.
